Stone Ridge Montessori Programs

Stone Ridge Montessori programs include a wide variety of educational enrichment initiatives for students ages 12 months through 12 years. All of our programs are a direct reflection of the philosophy of the system’s originator, Dr. Maria Montessori.

The typical Stone Ridge Montessori student will spend nearly six years at our locations, most often enrolling between the ages of one and three. Students move through a carefully orchestrated sequence of Montessori classes, all the while advancing academically, socially and emotionally.

Each of our programmatic offerings work both as stand-alone independent units, as well as compounding entities. By adhering to this adaptable structure, both new and veteran Stone Ridge Montessori students can benefit. Montessori focuses on distinct populations, including:

  • Toddler
  • Pre-School
  • Kindergarten
  • Before and After School

While each age group requires a unique set of programs and educational curricula specifically designed to meet the needs of these young minds, we also ensure that there is some mixed-age education for adaptive learning (i.e. this is representative of the Montessori formula and of real life).

Visitors to either the Stone Ridge Montessori or our sister campus at Falls Church will observe classic Montessori disciplines at work, including but not limited to:

  • A discovery model where children learn concepts by working with materials
  • Freedom of movement in the classroom
  • Highly trained Montessori professionals
  • Student choice for independent thinking
  • Uninterrupted time for work, creativity, and play
